Gurez, Aug 28: Security forces on Thursday killed two terrorists who were attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector of Bandipora district, the Army said.
The encounter took place near Naushehra Naar after troops, acting on intelligence from Jammu and Kashmir Police, spotted suspicious movement. When challenged, the infiltrators opened fire, prompting security forces to retaliate and neutralise two of them.
The Army’s Chinar Corps confirmed on X that a joint operation was launched with J&K Police, and further search operations are underway in the area.
