The customs officers of IGI airport, New Delhi, have booked a case of smuggling white color NDPS substance. On the basis of profiling, one Indian passenger arriving from Bangkok to Delhi by Flight no. AI 2335 dated 21.06.2026 were intercepted after crossing Customs Green Channel. On X-ray screening of baggage some suspicious images were noticed.
Further examination of baggage resulted in the recovery of Hydroponic Weed (Ganja) having total gross weight of 13840 grams approx. The estimated value of the seized contraband is approximately ₹4.83 crore.
Accordingly, the passenger was arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985 and the suspected Hydroponic Weed (Ganja) along with the packing material was seized.
