Srinagar, November 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered about 300 kilograms of RDX and an AK-47 rifle from Haryana following information revealed by a doctor from Qazigund who was arrested in Uttar Pradesh earlier this week.
A senior police officer said that the recovery was made from the Faridabad area of Haryana based on the disclosure of the accused, identified as Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather.
The officer added that an AK-47 rifle had also been recovered earlier from a locker at GMC Anantnag, where the doctor had previously been posted before taking up a job in Uttar Pradesh.
“The case is being thoroughly investigated with close coordination between local police and other intelligence agencies,” the officer said.
