Mendhar/Jammu, Nov 13: A rusted mortar shell was recovered from a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday, officials said.
The shell was spotted by locals in an open field at Balakote in the Mendhar sector, they said.
A bomb disposal squad was immediately called to the site, and the explosive device was safely defused without any damage or injury, officials added.
