ED raids Al Falah University, linked persons in Delhi Red Fort blast case

New Delhi, Nov 18: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted searches at Al Falah University in Faridabad, along with premises of its promoters and associated individuals, in connection with the Red Fort blast case, officials said.

Multiple locations across Delhi-NCR were raided early in the morning as part of the agency’s probe into alleged terror financing linked to the incident.

The ED’s action is based on FIRs filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Delhi Police. The agency is examining financial transactions and possible money laundering routes that may have supported the terror module.

Sources said the searches began around 5 am and include raids at the residences and offices of the university trustees.

So far, the NIA has arrested two individuals described as close aides of the alleged suicide bomber, Dr Umar Nabi.

Al Falah University, which includes a medical college and hospital, is located in the Dhouj area of Haryana’s Faridabad district near Delhi.
