Samba: A Pakistani drone was sighted over a forward village along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, officials said on Saturday.
They said the drone was spotted coming from the Chak Bhura post in Pakistan late Friday night and hovered over Regal village in the Ghagwal area for a few minutes before returning to the other side of the border.
Soon after the sighting, security forces launched a search operation to ensure that no payload, including narcotics or weapons, had been airdropped in the area. Further security measures have been put in place in the border belt.
