Srinagar, Nov 22: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday arrested a resident of Diyarwani, Batamaloo in connection with the Red Fort blast in New Delhi, officials said.
The arrested individual has been identified as Tufail Niyaz Bhat, who was detained following fresh leads that surfaced during the investigation into the November 10 suicide car blast near the Red Fort, which claimed multiple lives.
Officials said the arrest came after intelligence inputs linked Tufail to the wider terror network behind the attack. Further investigation is underway, and more arrests are likely as agencies continue to unravel the conspiracy.
