Srinagar, Nov 30: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against a police official accused of running a job scam by taking money from people in exchange for false promises of government jobs.
The chargesheet in FIR No. 15/2025 under Section 420 of the IPC has been submitted before the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Pulwama, against Riyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar, a resident of Naroo Ratnipora, Pulwama.
According to the statement, the case began after EOW Srinagar received credible information that HC Riyaz Ahmad Dar of IRP 21st Battalion had allegedly misused his position to cheat several individuals by promising them government posts in exchange for money.
