KATHUA, JANUARY 19: The Phase–II of the Vande Mataram celebrations began with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across all sub-divisions of Kathua district. The Phase–II celebrations are being observed from January 19 to January 26.
Special patriotic events were organized across educational institutions and government offices to honour the spirit and legacy of Vande Mataram.
In Hiranagar sub-division, Vande Mataram was recited at the Municipal Committee, SDAO Office and ZEO Office. Government Degree College organized a special assembly, highlighting the historical background and national significance of the song. Prof. Rakesh Sharma spoke on its role in the freedom struggle, followed by the collective rendition.
The PM SHREE Government Girls High School Bani and ICDS Project held dedicated programmes with active participation of students and staff.
In Billawar sub-division, Day-1 celebrations were held at GHSS Ramkot with collective singing of the national song by the students.
Government Higher Secondary School Mahanpur, in Basohli sub-division organized a special assembly to spread the message of unity, integrity and devotion to the nation through the rendition of Vande Mataram.
