Free medical camp organised at PHC Gangal, Chowki Choura
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 10: Cross Swords Gunners under the aegis of White Knight Corps of Indian Army in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Administration, Chowki Choura organized a free medical camp at PHC Gangal near Chowki Choura, Akhnoor.
The camp extended essential medical services to more than 500 residents, including general health check-ups, consultations with specialist doctors from J&K Health Services, distribution of free medicines, diagnostic tests and awareness sessions on preventive healthcare. Army medical teams, equipped with mobile units, provided treatment for common ailments and chronic conditions, ensuring timely care to underserved communities, including Bakerwals and ex-servicemen.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chowki Choura, Ankush Hans, Tehsildar and representatives from Panchayat Gangal lauded the Army’s unwavering commitment to civilian welfare.
“This collaboration exemplifies the spirit of Nation First and strengthens the bond between the armed forces and local administration,” said SDM Chowki Choura emphasizing the camp’s role in bridging healthcare gaps in hilly terrains.
The event highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing Sadbhavna (Goodwill) initiatives, which prioritize public health, education and infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir. Similar medical camps are planned in other remote panchayats and further strengthen Army–civilian cooperation.
