Seed, Fertilizer dealers sensitized to regulatory provisions at Basholi
KATHUA, MARCH 14: The dealers and retailers of Basholi dealing in seeds, fertilizers and pesticides were today sensitised to the regulatory provisions governing the sale and distribution of agricultural inputs.
The meeting was convened by Law Enforcement Inspector Kathua Anil Gupta under the directions of Assistant Director Law Enforcement Jammu.
The dealers were asked to ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the Seeds Act 1966, Fertilizer Control Order 1985 and the Insecticides Act 1968 along with the rules framed thereunder.
“The dealers and retailers need to prominently display the approved price list of all seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, issue proper bills or invoices for each and every sale and maintain accurate stock and sales registers as provided under the provisions of the Act,” they were told.
It was further emphasised that any deviation from or non-compliance with these instructions shall be viewed seriously and necessary action under the relevant provisions shall be initiated against the defaulting dealers and retailers without any further notice.
