District Admin Bandipora conducts Jal Yatra, Awareness Programme under Jal Mahotsav PakhwadaBANDIPORA, MARCH 14: As part of the ongoing Jal Mahotsav Pakhwada, a Jal Yatra was organized in District Bandipora to spread awareness about water conservation and the sustainable use of precious water resources.The initiative aimed to sensitize the public about the importance of protecting water sources and promoting responsible water usage. The programme highlighted the need for collective efforts to conserve water for future generations.Meanwhile, an awareness and water testing demonstration programme was also conducted at Higher Secondary School Shahgund under the Jal Mahotsav Pakhwada observance. During the programme, students were sensitized about the importance of safe drinking water and the role of water quality monitoring.Officials demonstrated the process of testing drinking water and educated students about basic parameters used to assess water quality. The students actively participated in the demonstration and gained practical knowledge about ensuring safe water in their communities.The programmes were part of a series of awareness activities being carried out across the district under the Jal Mahotsav Pakhwada to promote water conservation and public participation in safeguarding water resources.
