ADDC Jammu reviews progress of Mission YUVA

JAMMU, JANUARY 20: Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sher Singh today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of Mission YUVA in the district, with a special focus on enhancing registration and extending benefits to unemployed youth and budding entrepreneurs.
The meeting witnessed extensive deliberations on strategies to maximise outreach under the flagship programme aimed at promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth. Deputy Director Employment, Sunaina Saini, was also present.
The ADDC stressed upon the stakeholders to put in concerted efforts to attain maximum coverage of youth under Mission YUVA. He urged the heads of educational institutions, Sub Divisional Magistrates and Block Development Officers to play a proactive role in motivating eligible youth to register as per their interests and avail benefits under the scheme.
He highlighted the crucial role of YUVA Doots, existing Self Help Groups, Block Development Officers and field functionaries in spreading awareness and mobilising youth at the grassroots level.
The meeting also discussed implementation of Udyam Jagriti 4.0 campaign. The Assistant Commissioner Development was directed to prepare a structured action plan to intensify outreach efforts and ensure coverage of unreached rural areas.
Assistant Director Employment, Mukhlis Ali; Chief Planning Officer Ajay Pal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Danish Rasool, Nodal Officers from colleges besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
