Srinagar, Sept 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, for approving the construction of 5,061 houses damaged in recent natural calamities across rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said the approval, granted under a special project of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), would help restore safety and stability in the lives of thousands of affected families.
“Grateful to Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji & Hon’ble Union Minister of Rural Development, Shri @ChouhanShivraj Ji for sanctioning the construction of 5,061 houses which were damaged due to the recent natural calamities across rural areas of J&K. This approval under special project of PMAY-G will bring back safety and stability in the lives of thousands of households. A new home will enable the families to regain the economic stability, significantly improving their well-being,” Sinha posted.
