Srinagar, Dec 19: In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is set to declare the results of the Annual Regular-2025 Class 10 examinations by the first week of January, officials said.
This will be followed by the declaration of Class 12 results around mid-January, while Class 11 results are expected by the end of January.
Secretary JKBOSE Ghulam Hassan Sheikh said the board is planning to announce the results of all three classes within the month of January.
“We are hopeful to declare the result of the Class 10 examination by the first week of January, followed by the Class 12 result after about 10 days,” Sheikh said.
“The Class 11 result will be declared by the end of January.”
He said the Class 12 examinations concluded on December 9, while Class 11 exams ended on December 13. The Class 10 examinations concluded in the last week of November.
Explaining the process, the JKBOSE Secretary said that after theory examinations, students appear in external practical exams, and additional time is required to collect award sheets, particularly for vocational subjects, which follow a different evaluation mechanism.
“We are on track, and the concerned staff and officers are strictly following the given timeline. I am personally monitoring the process,” he added.
The Annual Regular-2025 examinations for Classes 10 to 12 commenced in November this year. In view of academic disruptions faced by students, JKBOSE had earlier announced a 15 per cent relaxation for students appearing in the Class 10, 11 and 12 annual examinations.
According to official figures, 94,783 students registered for the Class 10 examination, including 68,804 from Kashmir, 25,224 from the winter zone of Jammu division, 660 from Kargil, and 95 from Leh.
For Class 11, around 81,622 students registered, while 70,117 students registered for the Class 12 examinations, officials said.
The board expressed confidence that results will be declared as per the announced schedule.
