DC Bandipora conducts Extensive Tour of district; Reviews Ongoing Infrastructure Projects

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 24 : Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today conducted an extensive tour of Bandipora district to assess public issues and review the progress of key developmental works.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected Pethkoot area and adjoining villages to take stock of the drinking water shortage. She interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns, and assured them of all possible support from the district administration to address the issue at the earliest.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the upgradation work of the Sopore–Bandipora road (Km 14–19), being executed by the R&B Department under RIDF, NABARD. She reviewed the progress of the project, which has a completion timeline of three years, and directed the executing agency to ensure timely execution.
The DC also reviewed the Water Supply Scheme Malangam and directed the concerned department to expedite completion of the work to ensure improved water supply to the area.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Executive Engineer I&FC Bandipora; Executive Engineer R&B Bandipora; Tehsildar Bandipora; AEE R&B Bandipora and other concerned officers.
