DC Rajouri conducts early morning inspection to review sanitation, directs scientific waste management

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 17: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today undertook an early morning inspection of the town to take stock of sanitation and cleanliness arrangements. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the concerned officials to discharge their duties with sincerity, responsibility and commitment to ensure a clean and healthy urban environment.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Executive Officer Municipality, Rajouri, to ensure proper segregation of dry and wet waste at source. He further emphasized that wet waste must be decomposed in a scientific and eco-friendly manner to maintain hygiene and prevent environmental hazards. Stressing that the town should remain neat and clean at all times, the DC asked the Municipal staff to strengthen regular cleaning and waste management mechanisms.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with members of the public and took feedback regarding cleanliness and sanitation services. He informed that the cleanliness drive in the town will continue on mission mode and urged all stakeholders to actively participate in the initiative.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the general public to extend full cooperation to the administration and Municipal authorities in keeping the town and adjoining areas clean and litter-free.
Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Gupta, Naib Tehsildar and other district and sectoral officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
