DC Reasi reviews status of Karwa–Hansali Water Pipeline Project
REASI, FEBRUARY 19: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today chaired a meeting to review the progress and modalities regarding the acquisition of land for the construction of a Water Pipeline from Karwa to Hansali in Tehsil Katra.
During the meeting, the concerned officers briefed the chair on the present status of the land acquisition proceedings, the proposed alignment of the pipeline and the issues being faced during the process. Detailed discussions were held on streamlining procedural requirements, assessing the land parcels involved and ensuring compliance with all statutory provisions to prevent delays at later stages.
Emphasising the importance of the project for Katra and adjoining areas, the Deputy Commissioner directed the SDM Katra, in coordination with the concerned line departments to undertake proper measurement of the identified land and determine the rates for acquisition of the required land. She further instructed the Revenue Department to identify suitable alternate land, wherever necessary, to facilitate smooth execution of the project.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for close inter-departmental coordination and the timely completion of all formalities to ensure that the project is implemented in a transparent and time-bound manner.
ADC Rakesh Kumar, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra, SE Jal Shakti, CPO, XEN PHE and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
