New Delhi, Aug 25: The BCCI may soon lose Dream11 as Team India’s title sponsor after the government’s new Online Gaming Bill 2025 forced the fantasy sports major to shut its real money games — the company’s biggest source of income.
Dream11 currently has a ₹358 crore sponsorship deal with BCCI till 2026, but with the new law banning money-based gaming and related advertisements, its revenue stream has taken a massive hit. Along with My11Circle, Dream11 contributes nearly ₹1,000 crore annually to Indian cricket through sponsorships.
While BCCI officials have not commented, sources say Dream11 may walk away without penalty as its contract includes a clause protecting it from losses caused by government regulations.
Industry experts believe My11Circle could follow the same path, which would further hurt cricket sponsorships and even individual player endorsements linked to fantasy gaming.
