Jammu Police Nab Two with Heroin(Chitta like Substance) During Naka at Thathi Bridge in Gharota Area.

Acting swiftly on suspicious activity, a police party from Police Station Gharota apprehended two persons during a special naka at Thathi near Thathi Bridge, recovering heroin from their possession.
The naka was established earlier today when two unidentified individuals were spotted roaming in suspicious circumstances. Upon noticing the police party, the duo attempted to flee but were chased down and apprehended after hectic efforts by the alert personnel.
The suspects were identified as Sushil Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Jandial Thathi, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Jammu, and Vishal Sharma alias Happy, son of Late Somnath Sharma, also a resident of Jandial Thathi, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Jammu.
A personal search led to the recovery of 10.93 grams of heroin (chitta-like substance) from their possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No.77/2025 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gharota. Further investigation is underway to trace both the forward and backward linkages in the drug supply chain in the area.
