Jammu, November 21, 2025: In a major action against drug trafficking, Jammu (Rural) Police arrested four drug peddlers and recovered heroin-like substance, a Punch car, a Bullet motorcycle, and an electronic weighing scale.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP Jammu and the guidance of SP Rural, SDPO Nagrota, and SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
During routine patrolling, a team from Police Post Manwal led by Incharge PSI Bhawani Singh received information that four persons were roaming in the area with the intent to sell contraband. Acting on the input, the team laid a naka near Jindrah Road, Saloon.
Police stopped a Punch car bearing registration number JK02DP-9627 and a Bullet motorcycle bearing number JK02CQ-7326. During the search, around 8 grams of heroin-like substance were recovered from the possession of the accused persons:
- Rohit Jamwal, son of Shamsher Singh, resident of Jindrah – 2.11 grams
- Abhishek Jamwal, son of Brij Pal, resident of Jindrah – 1.55 grams
- Arvind Singh alias Kaka, son of Sat Paul, resident of Jindrah – 2.23 grams
- Aditya Singh alias Veeru, son of Omkar Singh, resident of Jindrah – 2.23 grams
A case under FIR No. 134/2025 has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act for further investigation.
Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to eradicating drug abuse and urged the public to share information regarding illegal drug activities. Police assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
