Jammu, Nov 28: Police arrested three individuals after a video showing a group of people assaulting a school bus driver on the outskirts of Jammu went viral on social media, officials said.
The video shows the accused stopping the bus by blocking its way with their vehicle. They then pulled the driver out and assaulted him in the Sidhra area. The incident reportedly happened after the bus grazed their vehicle.
The video sparked public anger, and the matter was reported to the Sidhra police post on Thursday evening.
Police said an FIR was registered at the Nagrota police station under Section 126(2) for wrongful restraint and Section 115(2) for causing hurt under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
All three accused were arrested late Thursday night. They have been identified as Sachin Kumar, Sohan Lal and Vishal Verma.
Further investigation is underway.
