Srinagar, Nov 24: Bollywood legend Dharmendra died on Monday morning at the age of 89, after battling a prolonged illness.
The veteran actor’s health had taken a serious turn on November 10, 2025, when he was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. At that time, he was placed on a ventilator after experiencing breathing difficulties.
The Deol family had previously announced that Dharmendra was responding to treatment, offering hope to his fans. However, despite those efforts, his condition worsened.
Over his extraordinary career spanning decades, Dharmendra appeared in more than 300 films and became one of India’s most beloved stars. His strong screen presence, off-screen kindness, and sheer versatility made him a symbol of Bollywood’s golden age.
He is survived by his family, his legion of fans, and a legacy in Indian cinema that will be celebrated for generations.
