NIA Court Orders Seizure of Pulwama House Used in 2019 CRPF Attack Planning

Jammu, Nov 25: A special NIA court in Jammu has ordered the forfeiture of a residential house in Hakripora, Pulwama, saying the property was used by Jaish-e-Mohammad militants to plan the 2019 Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF personnel.

The house, measuring 9.5 marlas and owned by Naseema Bano, wife of accused Peer Tariq Ahmed Shah, was declared as “proceeds of terrorism” under the UAPA. The court said no transfer or any third-party claim on the property will be allowed.

Investigations revealed that JeM terrorists stayed in the house before and after the suicide bombing on February 14, 2019, and the family members allegedly provided them shelter.

The property was first attached in 2021, and after the owner failed to appear despite repeated notices, the court passed the final forfeiture order. A copy of the order has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama for implementation.
