Srinagar, Nov 17: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday obtained 10-day custody of Amir Rashid Ali, the aide of the suicide bomber involved in the Delhi blast, after he was produced before a special NIA court.
According to the agency, Amir conspired with the suicide bomber, Dr Umar, to execute the attack near Delhiās historic Red Fort, which killed 10 people and injured 32 others.
Officials told Kashmir News Observer that Amir had travelled to Delhi to help facilitate the purchase of the car that was later used as a vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the attack.
The NIA also stated that it has forensically confirmed the identity of the bomber as Umar Un Nabi, a Pulwama resident and assistant professor in the general medicine department at Al Falah University in Faridabad.
