Jammu, Sep 27: The Border Security Force on Friday handed over a Pakistani citizen to his country’s Rangers after he was caught crossing into Indian territory inadvertently in the R S Pura sector, officials said on Saturday.
The man, identified as Mohd Akram, had been apprehended on September 25 near the International Border on the outskirts of Jammu. No suspicious items were found in his possession, and questioning confirmed he had entered India by mistake.
Following coordination with Pakistani authorities, Akram was repatriated to the Chenab Rangers at a flag meeting after completion of formalities, officials added.
