Bandipora, Nov 4: A plantation drive was organised at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (HSS) Mantrigam by the Social Forestry Range Bandipora as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations.
The event focused on promoting environmental conservation and honouring the contributions of tribal communities. Students and local residents actively participated by planting saplings and learning about sustainable ecological practices.
Officials said the initiative aimed to spread awareness about the vital role of tribal communities in protecting nature and preserving cultural heritage, reaffirming the community’s commitment to a greener and sustainable future.
