Sopore, Nov 27: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmad Wani on Thursday said that schools currently functioning from rented buildings will be shifted to government-owned structures in a phased manner.
During his visit to Sopore to review the ongoing board examinations, Wani said the department has already begun addressing land-related issues. He added that reports will be sought from Chief Education Officers to speed up the process.
He also acknowledged staff shortages in some areas but assured that the problem will be fixed during the upcoming winter vacations through rationalisation. He said adequate staff will be ensured in all schools.
The visit was part of an inspection drive to ensure smooth exams and to assess administrative and infrastructure arrangements.
