Srinagar, Aug 18 — The Srinagar district administration on Monday issued a public advisory following forecasts of heavy rain, thundershowers, cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides across Kashmir on August 18–19.
Residents, especially in Fakir Gujri, adjoining areas, and Khonmouh, have been urged to stay away from slopes, water bodies, and low-lying areas until conditions stabilize.
The advisory also cautioned tourists, shikara operators, and sand miners against attempting river crossings without checking water levels and flow conditions.
