Jammu & Kashmir is likely to receive its first monsoon rains around the end of June or early July. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Jammu with chances of flash floods and cloudbursts. Similar conditions may also affect some parts of the Kashmir Valley.
