Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD) launched the Livestock Insurance Portal, a comprehensive digital platform aimed at transforming livestock insurance delivery across the country under the Livestock Insurance activity of National Livestock Mission (NLM)
Union Minister highlighted that livestock serves as a critical source of income and livelihood for millions of rural households.
Union Minister also emphasized that timely and affordable insurance protection safeguards farmers against financial losses arising from mortality, disease outbreaks, accidents, natural calamities and other unforeseen risks.
