Divisional Commissioner Jammu @Rameshkumarias on Thursday inaugurated the “Liaison Officers’ Training cum Refreshers programmer” on Market for Textile and Clothing (MTC): National Household Survey organized by Textile Committee, Ministry of Textiles, GoI at Convention Centre Jammu.

The two day programme brings together Liaison officers from the Northern region to enhance their knowledge on data collection techniques, improving data quality, incorporating aspects of new fibers & products and upcoming aspects of sustainability to cater the needs of survey users.

Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner highlighted Jammu region’s rich potential of handloom and local textiles. He said that the data collected by the Liaison officers will play a key role in policy formulation and boosting the handloom and textile sector in Jammu Kashmir.
