Jammu Police, South Zone Cracks Down on Narcotics: Drug Peddler arrested by PP Narwal Heroin Like Substance and Cash recovered
Jammu, April 15, 2026Under the Supervision of SSP Jammu and the direct guidance of SP City South , SDPO City East Jammu and SHO PS Bahu Fort, Jammu Police achieved a breakthrough with the arrest of a drug peddler and recovery of a heroin-like substance, Cash under Operation Sanjeevani.During patrolling police team from *Police Post Narwal* , led by IC Police Post Narwal and assisted by other officials, arrested drug peddler from Transport Nagar, Narwal.The drug peddler was identified as *Ankush S/o Anitesh R/o Rajiv Nagar Narwal Distt Jammu.* Upon conducting a search, the police recovered 08 grams heroin-like substance and Cash of Rs 2900 , from his possession.A case *FIR No. 81/2026 under sections 8/21/22/25/27A NDPS Act* has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu and the accused has been taken into custody for further investigation.Jammu Police reiterates its commitment to eradicating drug menace from the society and urges citizens to come forward with any information regarding drug-related activities.
