KISHTWAR POLICE ARRESTED BOOTLEGGER; RECOVERED 24 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR
Continuing its drive against the illegal transportation and sale of liquor, Kishtwar Police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 24 bottles of illicit liquor during naka checking at Pinjrari.
Police Party of Police Post Dangduroo, led by PSI Barun Sharma, while conducting naka checking at Pinjrari Chowk, intercepted a Tempo Traveller bearing Registration No. JK-17A-0726.
During thorough checking of the vehicle, the police party recovered 24 bottles of JK Special Whisky, 750 ml each, totalling 18 litres, which had been concealed beneath the front passenger seat.
The driver, identified as Mohd. Imran S/o Abdul Gani R/o Rahalthal, Tehsil Mughal Maidan, District Kishtwar, failed to produce any valid permit or authorization for the possession and transportation of the liquor.
In this regard a case under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Dachhan.
