Reasi, 01 May, 2026:
Reasi Police, under the overall supervision of SSP Reasi Sh. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, and in continuation of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, achieved success in curbing illegal liquor trade.
During night checking on 30th April 2026, a police team from Police Station Katra laid a naka at Parthal, Katra. During the checking, one person identified as Balbir Singh S/O Malker Singh R/O Kali Mandir, Parthal, Katra was intercepted and subjected to search.
During the search, 02 half bottles of liquor (approximately 350 ml each) and 03 bottles of Groovy Jerra Rum (approximately 180 ml each) were recovered from his illegal possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 135/2026 under section 223(a) BNS has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway.
The entire operation was carried out by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗼, under the close supervision of 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦, and 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵. 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗶, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.
